About UsVictoria Grandmothers for Africa (VG4A) is one of many Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign groups across Canada who fundraise for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The Foundation in turn supports African grandmothers raising orphaned grandchildren through community-based organizations (CBOs) in 15 sub-Saharan African countries. African grandmothers know their communities best and through the CBOs they develop programmes that build a healthy future for their grandchildren. The Foundation’s approach puts these African experts at the centre of all programming and we are proud to stand in solidarity with them.
Since 2006 VG4A has been a presence in Victoria fundraising through Stride Walks, our annual Cycle Tours, African Dinners & Silent Auctions, and selling the unique products of our busy Sales and Crafts group.
